Ports and maritime operators

CETENA has regular contacts and projects with Port Authorities and harbour designers. CETENA's manoeuvring simulator SAND is used to assess new harbour layouts, identify critical conditions for manoeuvring, simulate the dynamics of accidental events such as ship collisions. Mooring studies can be carried out to provide mooring plans and evaluate the suitability of a given mooring systems to the environmental conditions at the mooring location. Traffic simulations are carried out to support harbour design and traffic planning.
