Mooring studies

Mooring studies allow to evaluate the forces acting on a mooring configuration in a variety of environmental conditions and are therefore the mean to assess the suitability and safety of a mooring configuration.

CETENA has carried out both harbour mooring studies and single point mooring studies.

In both cases a typical mooring study evaluates weather a given set of mooring devices is suitable and safe for all of the weather conditions statistically occurring at the mooring location (wind, wave and current).
