CFD computations are an essential support to hull / hull appendages / propeller design and are used today also for the design of ship superstructures and to verify ventilation and conditioning systems.

CETENA can carry out:

• Wave resistance computations
• Bulbous bow optimisation
• Propeller flow computations
• Optimisation of hull appendages (propeller shaft and brackets)
• Optimisation of internal flows (HVAC systems)
• External flow computations (exhaust gases, flow around ship superstructures)

Depending on the case to be analysed, potential flow computations or RANSE computations are carried out.
