Fire on board is one of the worst dangers that can occur during navigation. Compliance with regulations needs to be checked during the ship design process, which can be done today through numerical simulations.

CETENA can carry out simulations of fire propagation on board a ship and also simulate evacuation in the presence of fire and smoke. Computations are usually carried out to verify compliance with SOLAS regulations and to design evacuation paths.
