Logistic Support
In order to optimise the levels of reliability, maintainability and safety of a vessel during the design process or evaluate these levels for an existing design, it is necessary to perform risk analysis and ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) studies. Some of these studies are compulsory to obtain the safety certificates (typically the FMEA analysis for HSC), others give access to additional class notations (i.e. “Star Mach” class notation of RINA).
In the past few years, CETENA has built up an experience in logistic support studies such as RAMS, RCM, LORA for navy ships (where Reliability, Availability Maintainability, and Safety studies are prescribed), and in the use of risk analysis techniques, such as the FMEA for several HSCs.
The following analyses can be carried out by CETENA:
- RAM - Reliability Availability Maintainability Analysis
- LORA - Level of Repair Analysis
- RCM - Reliability Centred Maintenance
- FMECA - Failure Mode, Effect and Criticality Analysis
- ETA - Event Tree Analysis
