Transfer of technology
Nowadays, Transfer of Technology is a key activity for many companies that wish to increase their competences. For several years now, CETENA has been planning and organizing training paths supporting the growth of its customers.
Transfer of Technology is a complex process, implemented in CETENA, that aims to identify the customers’ needs, starting from the analysis of the current capabilities so to increase them and achieve the set objectives.
Typically, CETENA supports its customers with transfer of technology activities when - in addition to the project ending with the delivery of the ship - the client themselves wants to increase their competences in the integrated design process and the building and maintenance of the ship during its lifecycle.
Usually, the transfer of technology activities are developed in three stages and are realised with the support of digital devices.
• Planning, organization and delivery of the TOT through in-class lectures - main theoretical notions and illustration of specific topics in class
• "On the Job" training – active participation in company or shipyard activities in order to apply the theoretical notions learnt
• Follow-up activities – case studies and work document analysis to verify learning by doing
CETENA is able to build customized transfer of technology plans based on real customer needs thanks to the expertise in the ship design field and to the technical support given to shipyards. CETENA cooperates with universities and foreign specialist schools to develop graduate study paths targeted to answer the requests of the industrial companies through internships or specific training courses.
